Holly Bower

Holly Bower began her baking career in Seattle at age 13. For two years she and her best friend operated a "bread route," eventually baking 60 loaves of bread every Sunday in her mother's kitchen and delivering them in a picnic basket to their Madrona neighboorhood customers. In 1978 she opened Holly B's Bakery on Lopez Island, where she lives with her husband, Andre Hirss, and sons Ty, Rom, and Galen.
